Orange lips..!!

Orange is the must have color for lips this summer..!! The Spring/Summer 2011 runway, fashion magazines, catalogs and ads are full of models with orange lips. What about you?? Have you tried this fun color?

We have to admit that orange is definitely an intimidating color for many but it is surprisingly wearable. You just have to give it a chance. :)

How to pull of orange lips perfectly..!!

I have some great tips on how to make this exciting color work for you. Here are they;

  • Keep it clean ..!!

Your lips have to be the focus point of your look.  It is not a good idea to use bold colors for the rest of your face. Make it simple. It is so easy to look overdone and cheap. Just a little champagne eyeshadow, thick layer of mascara and some bronzer on your cheeks. You will be rocking with orange lips..

  • Start with a Lip Gloss

An orangey lip gloss is a good start for those who are less brave to try an orange lipstick. It is less vibrant and very suitable for a day make up. Last but not least it looks amazing with summer tan..!!

  • Consider your skintone

Fair Skintones: If you have a fair skintone, go for a lipgloss. Peach tones and light oranges make wonders on pale complexions.

Medium Skintones: If you have a medium skintone, you can pull off everything..!! A bold vibrant orange lipstick or a sheer lipgloss.. Find something that you feel yourself comfortable.

Dark Skintones: If you have a dark skintone, you will look wonderfull with warmer shades of orange. You can also be bold and pull of a very vibrant orange lipstick.

  • What about coral??

Coral is technically orange.. ;) It is just less intimidating. It works for everyone..!!

✿ I want my nails to shine..!! ✿

Uslu Airlines; created by make-up artist Feride Uslu from New York. RIK is the first polish in their newly started ‘fashion designer’ series. The collaborateur for this one is Ulrika Lundgren from Amsterdam, createuse of the label ‘Rika’. Stars are the signature of her label, black is the colour of choice: when you apply what seems to be just a black polish, little stars appear on your nail. I loved it..!! It is unfortunatelly sold out on their webpage. I cannot wait to try this on my nails.

If you want stars and don’t want to pay 21 € for a nail polish , try Pieces..!! Smaller stars and no color, but still works.
